Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has announced a three-month extension, until the end of January, for use of the old Barbados National I.D. Card, including by pensioners on public transport.
Miss Mottley made the announcement at news briefing following a meeting with the Barbados Association of Retired Persons.
Miss Mottley pointed out that the request to pin the I.D. cards is not a special requirement for pensioners using their cards on buses but is a feature used to add a special layer of security for use of the cards by everyone generally.
