The insurance sector in Barbados says it’s paying out over a hundred million dollars a year in traffic accident claims and related costs.

This has been disclosed by the President of the General Insurance Association of Barbados, Randy Graham.

He believes that too often people are losing their lives on the roads due to accidents that can be avoided.

Mr. Graham is urging drivers to be more careful as he believes most of the accidents are due to people not paying.
