Thirty-one students were awarded Barbados scholarships and exhibitions this year.

Five students received scholarships and one student also received the inaugural Errol Walton Barrow scholarship, a scholarship awarded to a student who completed their education at a school established after 1951.

In addition there were 25 Exhibition winners from Harrison College, Queens College, The St. Michael School, Christ Church Foundation and the Barbados Community College.

Speaking during the announcement of the 2023 Barbados Scholarship and Exhibition winners at the Erdiston Teachers’ Training College, Minister of Education, Kay McConney urged the students to return to the country to give service after they complete their studies.

Meantime Javani Alleyne who received the inaugural Errol Walton Barrow scholarship says he is grateful for the opportunity.
