Twelve Attorneys Elevated to Senior Counsel

Three current and two former MPs well as a previous President of the Barbados BAR Association are among 12 attorneys be elevated to the status of senior counsel, which was formerly called Queen’s or King’s Counsel.

A communication from the State House, the office of the President gives notice of the awarding of the senior designation.

The twelve attorneys are, MPs Wilfred Abrahams, Arthur Holder and Edmund Hinkson, former MPs Stephen Lashley and Rudolph Greenidge as well as Tammy Bryan, Gillian Henderson-Clarke, Kathy-Ann Hamblin, Anika Jackson, Angela Mitchell-Gittens, Alliston Seale, and Liesel Weekes.

One of the most senior attorneys of the group, in terms of years of tenure, Edmund Hinkson, says he is pleased to be recognized for his contributions to the legal profession.
