A man has died after suffering an electrical shock while picking breadfruit at Spooners Hill, St. Michael this morning.

Starcom Network News understands the man was in a tree at an abandoned property and was picking breadfruit when the rod he was using came into contact with an electrical wire.

The man fell from the tree and died on the spot.

The police say it will have to be determined if he died from the electrical shock or was killed by the fall.
