Dr. Ronnie Yearwood retains the leadership of the Democratic Labour Party for the next two years beating his main contenders Dr. David Estwick , Richard Sealey and Ryan Walters.
Also returning to the executive as General Secretary is Steve Blackett who grabbed 510 votes over Kemar Stuart’s 290 votes.
Kings Counsel Michael Lashley will be on the DLP executive for the first time having won the post of first vice President by 497 votes ahead of Walter Maloney who captured 345 votes.
Pedro Shepherd won the position of Assistant General Secretary with 365 votes while Jeffrey Shepherd won the position of Treasurer by 358 votes over Nicholas Ali who was right behind on 353 votes.
Dr. Yearwood spoke to the media after he was declared winner.
He repeated calls for the party to unite.
