The Barbados Licencing Authority is introducing commercial registration number plates.

The plate which will be for use by commercial or trade vehicles will be displayed with white plates and blue text beginning with the letter ‘C’ followed by numbers.

This was revealed by the Acting Chief Licensing Officer of the Barbados Licensing Authority, Treca McCarthy-Broomes.

She stated that According to the Road Traffic Act, the 2018 amendment act makes provisions for the commercial vehicles to have the letter ‘C’ affixed to their number plates.

Mrs McCarthy-Broomes explained the types of vehicles that would be required to bear the new commercial plates are motor vehicles and trailers owned by businesses.
