Police Praise Patrons/Promoters for No Major Incidents as 30k Attend 3 Events

The Barbados Police Service reports no major incidents as a total of over 30 thousand patrons attended three major events over the weekend.

An estimated 15 thousand people were at yesterday’s Tipsy show alone.

The police service in a statement commends patrons for the fact that there were no serious incidents reported.

The attendance at the We Ting jouvert held at Paragon, Christ Church is estimated at over 5 thousand, the Tipsy beach event at Copa Cabana had more than ten thousand patrons and the Tipsy event at Botanical Gardens yesterday drew as many patrons as the other two events combined.

The Barbados Police Service in a statement congratulates what it describes as the outstanding behaviour exhibited by all patrons attending those events.

The police say they also highly commend the various promoters of those events, saying they all complied with the advice of the police service in respect of security, traffic management, and general public discourse.

The service says this is testimony that large events can be well-promoted and effectively policed with all patrons enjoying themselves reassured that the future events will be free of serious incidents.
