BTMI Rescue Plan for Bajans Stranded in St. Lucia

Some Barbadians who had been stranded in St. Lucia were said to be on their way back home due to the efforts of the Barbados Tourism and Marketing Incorporated.

BTMI has been making arrangements for the return of the group who had appealed for help.

The Barbadians were part of a group that traveled to St. Vincent and then St. Lucia for those countries’ carnivals.

They told Starcom Network News they were notified on arrival at the airport in St. Lucia on Tuesday that there would be no flights available indefinitely due to industrial action by flight crews of Air Antilles.

Chairman of BTMI, Shelly Williams, provided Starcom Network News with an update on the situation.

Mrs. Williams noted her continued confidence in Air Antilles.
