A cutlass wielding man has been shot by police in St. George.

Starcom News Understands that there was an altercation between two men.

One of the men was armed with a cutlass. Police who responded tried to locate the two men who were involved in the incident.

In the process, they encountered the man who was armed with a cutlass and tried to disarm him. He resisted and was shot in the leg by police.
