Government is embarking on a series of projects, including the rehabilitation of inmates, as part of the overall crime prevention effort.
Some of the plans have been outlined by Minister of State in the Attorney General’s Office with Responsibility for Crime Prevention Corey Lane at the launch of a project at Dodds Prison.
Mr. Lane today presented 450 reflective journals and 200 boxes of crayons to the acting Assistant Superintendent of Prisons with responsibility for administration, Major Cedric Proverbs.
The crime prevention head explained the value of the project.
Mr. Lane says the National Peace Program and the Crime Prevention Program has been working with a number of inmates months before their release.
