Barbados Heat Wave; Dry Spell

Barbados is feeling the heat from a record setting global heatwave.

Globally, June 2023 was the hottest June ever and July narrowly missed setting another historical high.

Here in Barbados this past June was also one of the hottest on record.

Meteorologist with Barbados Meteorological Services Raquel Davis says the heatwave could last into October.

A relatively dry spell also persists despite the arrival of the hurricane season with only Tropical Storm Bret offering some temporary relief
