The private sector expects an economic boost for the country from this year’s full return of the Crop Over festival after the covid-19 hiatus and last year’s limited restart.

Meantime, former President of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Eddie Abed, has seen an increase in business since the Crop-Over festival got under way.
The Managing Director of Abeds Stores says the rise in sales comes mainly from masquerade bands and party-goers.
He also expects an increase in business from the upcoming four day weekend.
