Friends and acquaintances are shocked at the suicide of a young arts and craft vendor.
Twenty-three-year-old Ashley Mayers of Lodge Crescent, Lodge Hill, St. Michael was last night found hanging by an electrical cord attached to a door frame at her shop at the Pelican Village craft center.
Starcom Network News understands that the body was found by the young lady’s mother who hadn’t heard from her for a while and went to the shop to check.
Although the door to the business was locked, the mother was able to peek inside and had the shock of spotting her daughter’s body.
She then called the police and a doctor also came to the scene and pronounced death.
An acquaintance of the deceased expressed shock at what happened.
A former schoolmate of the victim also reacted to the death.
