KFC Workers Protest Conditions

KFC Workers Protest Conditions

At least three branches of the fast food chain KFC were hit by industrial action today, described by their union as a protest.

General Secretary of the Barbados Workers Union, Toni Moore, was on the scene at the KFC Oistins outlet as workers at that branch as well as Warrens and Hastings staged a work stoppage over health and safety concerns.

Video captured by journalists at KFC Oistins appeared to show some of the workers trying to exit the building as others gathered outside but the door was locked.

Miss Moore told reporters workers have the right under law to remove themselves from certain conditions.
