Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Indar Weir sees potential for Barbados to develop a multi-million dollar shrimp industry that could replace much if not all of the significant quantities of shrimp imported every year.
He disclosed that a pilot project to lay the groundwork has just been completed.
Barbados imports more than 30 million dollars of shrimp every year
