A police officer is the latest victim in a spate of armed robberies.
The police service confirms that the officer who is attached to the police band was in front of his residence at Silver Hill, Christ Church about twenty minutes past eleven last night when he was robbed by a lone gunman carrying what looked like a Glock pistol.
The assailant was described as a slim, dark male about five feet, nine inches tall, wearing a black hoodie, a black sock hat, short blue jeans. He was barefooted and said to be bow-legged.
The officer was robbed of two chains, his wallet, 122 dollars in cash, various cards and his police certificate of appointment.
The assailant fled in the direction of Kingsland.
