Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Kerrie Symmonds, says a number of challenges have made it difficult for Barbados to reach its 2023 goal of being 100 percentfossil fuel free.
He was speaking this morning during the opening of the an Energy Transition Investments conference at the Barbados Hilton.
Mr. Symmonds told the audience that although parliament approved an energy policy in 2019 to commit to reaching the goal there have been delays and issues with accessing battery storage.
