The police have arrested two men and seized three guns and more than a million dollars of cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana that was allegedly being smuggled into the country.
A news release from the police service says that officers from the Southern Division’s Criminal Investigations Department have arrested and charged 36 year old Tito Barrow of Crystal Heights, St. James and 25 year old Nicholas Gibson of St. Sylvan’s Village, St. Joseph.
Barrow is accused of possession, possession with intent to supply and trafficking 22.4 kilos of marijuana with an estimated street value of 179 thousand, 200 hundred Barbados dollars and possession of 494 ecstasy tablets with a street value of 9 thousand,880 Barbados Dollars.
The offences are alleged to have occurred at his residence on the 5th of May.
Barrow is also accused of importing three firearms, two hundred rounds of 40 calibre ammunition and one hundred rounds of 9 millimetre ammunition on February 9th at Freight Handling Services situated at Brighton, Black Rock, St. Michael.
