Barbados has met the targets under its latest agreement with the International Monetary Fund that unlocks another round of funding.

The announcement was made today by the IMF’s mission chief for Barbados Pablo Morra and Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley at a news conference at government headquarters.

Mr. Morra was speaking at the end of the latest IMF mission to Barbados for the first review of the extended fund facility and resilience and sustainability arrangements  approved by the IMF board in December last year.

Meantime, Prime Minister Mottley disclosed that government will complete privatisation or restructuring of most of its state-owned enterprises over the next year and revealed that a purchaser has been identified for the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation, CBC.
