Social Partners Sign Mission Barbados Declaration

Government and other members of the social partnership will embark on a new initiative as it seeks to transform the country in six key areas by 2030.

The social partnership yesterday, signed the declaration of Mission Barbados document during Barbados Worker’s Union’s May Day Celebrations at the National Botanical Gardens.

The document outlines the areas which include improvements in public health, and access to affordable food and clean water.

Speaking at the signing Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley explained that they will be assessing the best way to approach each mission over the next two months.

Ms. Mottley also detailed some of the missions.

Meantime, Chair of the Barbados Private Sector Association, Trisha Tannis, said the association remains committed to the overall development of the country.
