Botanical Gardens Worker Injured In Shooting

Police are on the hunt for the assailant who shot a National Botanical Gardens worker this morning.

Starcom Network News understands the incident happened just before 11 am in the vicinity of the gardens in an area near the National Stadium at Waterford, St. Michael.

The victim was shot in the abdomen and was taken away by an ambulance for medical treatment.

The shooting occurred on the outskirts of the gardens and members of the public told Starcom Network News they saw several police patrols scanning the area but were otherwise unaware that anything serious had transpired.
