The Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Association of Barbados doesn’t believe the recent budget did enough to address a major concern, the rising cost of living.
CTUSAB’s General Secretary, Dennis Depeiza, thinks that the benefit from the recent pay increase agreed for government workers may be erased by rising costs, including any electricity rate increase granted.
Mr. Depeiza was speaking at a news conference today that was called to respond to Prime Minister Mottley’s budget presentation.
