The Sanitation Service Authority confirms a backlog in garbage collection especially in northern parishes due to several of its trucks being off the road with mechanical issues and awaiting parts from overseas.
SSA Public Relations Officer, Carl Padmore, spoke about the situation on the Down to Brasstacks program.
He noted that the diversion of trucks from other routes might also affect some areas.
He admitted that the SSA has been getting a lot of complaints from the affected areas.
