Transport Board workers are still off the job and vow not to return until their grievances are addressed.
They went on strike this morning and all of the state agency’s buses are off the road which forced education officials to close schools for the day.
Toni Moore, General Secretary of the Barbados Workers Union, which represents transport board staff, told the news media these grievances date back as far as May last year and are yet to be resolved.
She said acting appointments is one of the key issues being discussed with the Transport Board bosses today.
Ms. Moore notes the work stoppage has caused significant disruption and hopes they can find resolutions as soon as possible.
