Acting General Secretary of the National Union of Public Wokers, Wayne Waldrond, has defended this country’s largest public sector union in the face of criticism from trade union leaders and a talk show host.
The union is accused of failing to adequately defend the interest of their members in wage talks.
The critics include Down to Brasstacks moderator Walter Blackman.
But, Mr. Walrond believes the union’s stance in wage talks is the realistic approach given the circumstances.
