Government’s pressing ahead with a plan to assist around one thousand vulnerable families.
Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey, expects to roll out the massive programme by February.
He tells Starcom Network News many people are in need and this has significantly increased this year.
His comments came this morning following a donation from Eric Hassell Shipping to the St. Michael South Constituency.
Mr. Humphrey added that government’s plan to amalgamate all the social services agencies should be completed by next year May.
