Tourism Leads Economic Rebound

Government reports the Barbados economic recovery continues with growth of ten percent projected for this year and five percent in 2023.

This has been disclosed by minister in the ministry of finance Ryan Straughn delivering a fiscal and economic update in the House of Assembly.

He noted that the economic recovery is led by a tourism rebound with prospects for the winter season looking strong.

The growth trend is projected to continue into next year.

Mr. Straughn also insists that government debt is well under control and stressed that it is 4.2 billion dollars less than it was when the Barbados Labour Party government took office in 2018.
