Cashless System and GPS Tracking Coming for Transport Board Buses

The government of Barbados is to introduce a cashless system for transport board electric vehicles as well as GPS tracking for customers’ benefit.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Works, and Water Resources, Santia Bradshaw said the first fifty machines will be on the island in a few weeks with the intention to begin in January.

She spoke at the Transport Board’s 67th Anniversary service at the Collymore Rock Church of the Nazarene on Sunday.

She revealed plans to install GPS systems on the transport board buses for the benefit of customers.

Ms. Bradshaw highlighted some roadworks in St. Andrew and other parts of Barbados.
