Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kenneth George says despite significant community spread due to the Omicron variant he does not believe the daily cases will reach the thousands first predicted.
Speaking to the media on the side-lines of a donation of supplies from a Bajan living overseas at the St. Philip district hospital, he however urged Barbadians to get boosted stating this would help with severe outcomes.
Dr. George says additional staff will be hired to deal with the backlog of covid-19 clearance certificates.
