The new Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey was sworn in today, promising an overhaul of the social services system.
Mr. Humphrey, the MP for St. Michael South, took the oath of office before the President Dame Sandra Mason at State House.
He pointed out that in recent months he had taken the lead in cabinet on social services matters even prior to this appointment.
Welfare services will also be decentralized.
