The ban on the entertainment sector may be lifted.

This was one of the proposals of today’s meeting at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium between the Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, other government officials and representatives of the entertainment sector.

The entertainment sector had issued a declaration calling for the removal of the curfew as well as lifting of the ban on fetes.

Some of the proposals  discussed at the meeting included  that whereas the might night curfew remains in place for the time being, fetes can resume from this weekend with vaccination or testing mandatory.

In addition, the curfew on old year’s night is rolled back to 2am.

Ms. Mottley said the situation is subject to review.

The Prime Minister has called a  press conference at 3:15pm following the meeting of the social partnership.
