Head of the Covid-19 Monitoring Unit Ronald Chapman advises the public that despite the temporary suspension of the curfew tonight for the transition to a republic, people should still follow all covid-19 protocols.

He also advises people against congregating after the event and recommends they go directly home.

Government’s Director of Public Affairs, Patricia Parris, reminds the public that the curfew is being suspended just for tonight to accommodate the historic occasion.
