Surging covid-19 cases, with thousands of people in isolation or quarantine is threatening to create a staffing crisis for this country’s business sector.

President of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anthony Branker, outlined the situation to Starcom Network News.

He spoke against the background of yesterday’s covid-19 dashboard that showed almost four thousand people in isolation facilities or home isolation, not including the many others that are required to quarantine pending test results.

Mr. Branker says the staff shortage impacts both business costs and the quality of service.
