There was widespread concern across the country of what appeared to be a major gas leak that even triggered the evacuation of a shopping mall.
However, Manager of Technical Operations at the National Petroleum Corporation, Roger Martindale, says there’s no need panic as it was the result of a routine maintenance measure involving the adding of an odorant to their gas pipeline.
