Face to face classes at Combermere School that were due to resume today have been cancelled even before they had a chance to start as the school was deemed not yet ready to take students.
Fifth and sixth form students were to be back in the classroom from this morning at the Waterford, St. Michael institution.
But, when they turned up they were told to assemble in the school hall and were later informed there would be no classes as there was still ash in some classrooms.
The students appear to have been frustrated by online classes and were looking forward to returning to school.
On the other hand parents of the Combermere students are disappointed with the delay in returning to face to face.
