Representatives of the Barbados business community meet today to further discuss the impact of the La Soufiere Volcano eruptions in St. Vincent and the g as most businesses here remain closed today.
President of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce of Industry Trisha Tannis tells Starcom Network News that consultations on the matter have been ongoing since yesterday.
She notes a key factor is the uncertainty about when it will end.
Mrs. Tannis speculates that the country may just have to learn to live with the conditions due to the uncertainty of the duration. And she disclosed the private sector is working on what she called a back-up plan.
