Barbados health authorities have announced that many thousands of additional doses of the covid-19 vaccine will arrive in the island in a matter weeks as they urge patience from the public – this following a rush at the vaccination centres.
Coordinator of the vaccination program Dr. Elizabeth Ferdinand stresses that there’s no need to panic over availability of the vaccine.
Dr. Ferdinand points out that those at highest risk and frontline workers are the current priority but that the rest of the population will also be provided for.
