General Secretary of the Unity Workers Union has reported that several nurses at the Winston Scott Polyclinic have staged a sick-out today, over growing discontent about, among other things, lack of personal protective equipment.
Senator Caswell Franklyn tells Starcom Network News his union is representing over 150 nurses and that more stringent measures will be taken if the nurses’ issues are not addressed.
National Union of Public of Workers (NUPW) Acting General Secretary Wayne Walrond confirmed that a number of nurses did not show up for work today.
