UPDATE: Workers back of on the job at health care facilities

UPDATE

striking Nurses at some health care institutions are back on the job pending talks between the NUPW and officials of the Ministry of Health.

The employees from Sir Winston Scott and Eunice Gibson polyclinics, and the psychiatric and Geriatric hospitals, staged industrial action this morning after not being given hazard pay allowance, like their colleagues at the QEH.

Following a meeting, acting General Secretary, Wayne Waldron disclosed the main bone of contention and said the union is hoping for a speedy resolution to the issue.

Mr. Waldron told Starcom Network that the union has also called on the National Assistance Board to makes some changes to its rosters for workers.
