Economist Dr. Justin Ram does not expect the Barbados tourism sector to return to pre-covid tourist arrival numbers until the end of 2022.
The former Director of Economics at the Caribbean Development Bank was speaking to journalists following his address at the Intimate Hotels of Barbados annual end of year meeting. He says the rollout of a covid-19 vaccine in the United Kingdom is good news for Barbados
Dr. Ram however advises local hotels to brace for extreme global competition as tourists return to travel.
