The Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary School will be closed for the remainder of the week.
Education Minister Santia Bradshaw said last week’s heavy rains compromised the plant’s structure as it suffered water damage.
In a statement this evening, she said classes will now move to online.
She added that for years the school had been in need of major repairs but was neglected and as a result, the plant continued to deteriorate.
