Police have identified the man who died after an altercation with a woman last night as Ronald Skeete alias ‘Smokey’ 56 years, of Whopping, Orange Hill, St. James.
A statement from the police force says that lawmen at District D Station received a report via telephone from a man about 11 55 pm .
That caller reported there was a dispute which had become an altercation between a man and a woman at a residence located at Whopping, Orange Hill, St. James.
Police quickly responded and met with ambulance personnel who were already at the scene.
They were treating a woman for injuries to her head and right arm, but those injuries were not life-threatening.
Police were then pointed to an area where the lifeless body of a mature adult male was found naked and slouched against the fencing of his residence.
The deceased was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor. He had visible injuries about his upper body.
The police say a young woman is assisting with their investigations.
Meantime, the police are also investigating a stabbing that occurred at St. Martin’s, St. Phillip about 8 o clock last night.
A 36-year-old man was stabbed in the left side of his chest under the arm during an altercation with another man.
The victim was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
