Ayana John Talks Her New Album & The Need to “Unplug & Reboot” During COVID-19

What’s new with Ayana John?

On February 04, 2020, I released my sophomore album, Feloshade. The title of the album is my first name which means honour bestoweth a crown. In relation to the album, I have done a soft launch of my fashion line of the same name. The first official music video from the album features the singles, Cash Flow and Rockin Wit U and designs from the fashion line. Corey ‘AndyM’ Marshall, Corey Jordan, Anderson ‘Mr. Blood’ Armstrong, Teddy Calderon and Barry ‘Barman’ Hill have production credits on this project and I am proud to say that the effort is 100% Bajan. I wrote all the songs on the album and as a songwriter I am immensely proud and happy that each producer was able to interpret my lyrics so successfully. I love to collaborate and music is my favourite medium.

Over the next 2 years, my team and I, of the company Live Blue Entertainment/Tutone Publishing are pursuing synch licensing deals and single/album deals for the promotion and marketing of songs on this project and we are at this time connecting with music industry professionals, worldwide.

What impact has COVID-19 pandemic had on the music industry?

The COVID19 pandemic has required that musicians become more organized with regards to themselves and their work. It has afforded me the time to reassess my career and discover new ways to promote my artistry on social media platforms and streaming/downloading sites. Sometimes, it is important to unplug and reboot.
