There is currently in circulation on social media a message advising Barbadians to go out and do their shopping right away because Govt is planning to close down the country on Wednesday.

Roy Morris, Prime Minister Press Secretary, said there is no such plan.

He said, “Currently, the country is at stage 2 and in order to trigger the next stage, a number of factors must be in play. While it’s highly probable that we will reach that next stage, it can not be predicted. When we do reach Stage 3 I will inform the country on the stepped-up restrictions.”
He added “Barbadians should continue to observe the directions and advice that is being offered daily by official sources.”
