This country’s tourism sector is keeping a close eye on international developments in relation to the coronavirus outbreak but Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association Senator Rudy Grant says the sector is satisfied with the response of the Barbados government to the potential threat.
Senator Grant tells Starcom Network News the stakeholders were briefed on the matter over the weekend.
Senator Grant disclosed that key tourism players representing all sectors were also being briefed this morning by local health officials and that Caribbean hoteliers are also getting a briefing today from the Caribbean Public Health Agency.
Minister of Health and Wellness Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic is to brief the media this afternoon on the outcome of a meeting of Caricom health ministers.
