Melba Smith resigns as chairman of CBC

Melba Smith has resigned as Chairman of the Board of Director of the state-owned Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).

Smith assumed the post after the new government took office in May last year, having previously served as general manager of CBC under a previous Barbados Labour Party government.

Minister of Information, Broadcasting and Public Affairs, Senator Lucille Moe, made the announcement in a statement today and thanked Smith for her service.
