A man is in custody assisting police with their investigations into Barbados’ latest homicide.
Officers responded a call at the Vauxhall Senior Citizens home in Christ Church around 6:10 p.m., and discovered the body of a woman, which they said bore injuries believed to be stab wounds.
The Royal Barbados Police Force’s Senior Superintendent in Charge of the Southern Division Bruce Rowe told Starcom Network’s Manager, News Stetson Babb, the victim and a male assisting them, were both residents of the facility.
This was the second such call police officers would have responded to yesterday.
Half an hour before, at 5:40 p.m., police in the North of the island responded to River Bay in St. Lucy where the lifeless body of an unidentified woman was found.
The two deaths bring the number of homicides on the island so far to five.
