PM Stuart Against Privatization of Transport Board

Prime Minister, Freundel Stuart, says privatizing the Transport Board is not the answer to the statutory corporation’s problems, during an address to his constituency branch meeting, Mr. Stuart indicated that such a move will not be in the best interest of the public.

Persaud: I Would Resign!

Economist, Professor Avinash Persaud, says he would resign if he were in the position of the current Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados, Dr DeLisle Worrell. His comments follow the news that Dr. Worrell went to the High Court on Sunday to get a temporary injunction restraining the Minister of Finance from firing him.
