Police Investigating Visitors’ Claims

The administration of the Royal Barbados Police Force has ordered an internal investigation into allegations of “complete indifference” made against officers, by a British visitor.

A story published in UK online tabloid- MailOnline quotes 27-year old Helen Najuk as saying she was treated “with complete indifference”, when she went to report that she was attacked.

She claims that she was battered and almost raped while jogging on a quiet road in Holetown on January 29th.

She claims that when she and her boyfriend went to report the incident, the officers at the desk ‘didn’t even stand up from their seats’ to ask if she was alright.
